Default Wheel of Time Seires

I was going though the TeenLit site and maybe I missed it but I didn't see anything about The Wheel of Time Seires. I can't believe it! Right now the Wheel of Time Seires has to be one of my all time favorite series. The Wheel of Time seires is writen by Robert Jordan and so far it has eleven books in it but the guy is still writing.
The story starts out with three friends, Rand al'Thor whose a shepherd, Perrin Aybara an apprentice blacksmith, and a trickster Mat Cauthon. They live in a little village that supports itself and has almost no outside contact. One day Rand and his father hear of two new visitors that came in the night. The woman has an unidentivable age and the man has a sifting cloak that at times makes parts of him fade into the background. A few days after they arrive trolics come and ransak their village. Among the houses they burned down were the three boys' houses but none were in them at the time. Rands dad is badly hurt and the villiages wisdom (a woman who heals others with herbs) cannot heal him. While Rand's father is in a fevered sleep he says something of a battle and finding a baby. Rand hears the ageless woman has been helping some others and out of desparation goes to her for help. She come and does something that at the time Rand doesn't understand. All he knows is that afterward the woman is extreemly tired. Later he decides to leave along with Perrin and Mat. The two visitors leave with them and as they leave Egwene al'Vere (the woman Rand wishes he could mary) shows up saying she wants to leave to Rand doesn't want her to but amazingly the ageless woman lets her come and they set out on a jorney full of dangers and adventues.
This is a really good seires that holds you captivated thoughout the whole story but you have to read to about chapter two. Its really long but it goes by pretty fast and I really recomend it.

I have heard that this is a good series, but it is very long. Is the reading fun or is it very descriptive like LOTR?

Nah, it one of those paperback fantasy novels, except its the KING of paperback fantasy novels. The story is amazing it sucks you right in. I don't know if you'd like it Joseph, but if you liked Eragon then you will probably like these.

Sadly I've only read the first two, so my opinion isn't as valid. I am so hooked and in need of more!

Well, if that is the case, you are probably right.

Absolutely amazing, I've read them all to book ten and I must say they have you hooked from word go. They are very long, and not easy to get into at first, but as you get further on you just get pulled in. Mat Cauthon rules... :-P

I absolutly LOVE this series and I was totally bummed when I found out that Robert Jordan died before he got a chance to finish the series, but I heard that he had the last book planned out so hopefully someone will go back and finish it up.
