spring equinox
spring equinox
off the fragile
branches, the
green residue sunders
and drops onto the
ground; it falls in slabs,
hitting the sweaty
grains once dead.
i peel the extraneous
muck with my gloves,
until the vines are naked;
bathed of the crusty
caterpillars, raisinlike
larvae, and liquid metals.
----------
yeah, 100th post!
