Mississippi Jack
Finally, the latest installment in the life of the daring Jacky Faber has been set to come out on September 1st. The official title is "Mississippi Jack: Being an Account of the Further Waterborne Adventures of Jacky Faber, Midshipman, Fine Lady, and Lily of the West". (And is it just me, or do Meyer's titles seem to be getting longer?)
Anyways, the summary as posted by Amazon.com goes as follows:
"The intrepid Jacky Faber, having once again eluded British authorities, heads west, hoping that no one will recognize her in the wilds of America. There she tricks the tall-tale hero Mike Fink out of his flatboat, equips it as a floating casino-showboat, and heads south to New Orleans, battling murderous bandits, British soldiers, and other scoundrels along the way. Will Jacky's carelessness and impulsive actions ultimately cause her beloved Jaimy to be left in her wake?
"Bold, daring, and downright fun, Jacky Faber proves once again that with resilience and can-do spirit, she can wiggle out of any scrape . . . well, almost."
Sounds fun, no? Urgh, I hope our heroine finally gets to spend more than five minutes with Jaimey in this book! Anybody else a Bloody Jack fan?

Oh, I love it, too!! *sighs* But if Jaimy and Jacky don't get their stuff in order soon, I might scream...
The release date has been set for Sept. 1st, 2007, as far as I know.

Oh wow! That's sooner than I expected.
And I completely agree! They're always torn apart one way or another. The latest book killed me. They finally see each other and then, of course, something happens to separate them!

Argh, I was expecting it, too. As soon as she saw him, and as soon as *I* saw how many pages were left in the book, I was like, here we go again...
