Gerards_Luvr - I love Madeleine L'Engle too! My favorites of hers were the Time Quartet (A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind In the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters) but I love all of her books. Except maybe A House Like a Lotus - that one wasn't quite as good, I don't think. But I love the way her books are all sort of connected - there are cross-over characters, and intertwining plots. I hope that someday she will write a book about Charles Wallace as an adult, but I hear her health isn't all that great, so who knows.

Wrinkle in TIme Rox!!
I love Wrinkle in Time!!But that's the only one I've gotten to read, I just never can seem to find the others...it's actually pretty sad
Now, everyone's been talking about thier favorites books and authors but what about your LEAST favorite? Mine was this one book called the Gift of Magic or something like that. I just couldn't get into it, the characters were flat. But still I had to finish the whole book, it was wierd I hated the plot but I NEEDED to know how it ended. Has anyone else ever felt like that or am I a little strange? That is one on a list of....three that I don't like. I LOVE ALL THE REST |

Least Favorite Books
We just read Fences by August Wilson in English class, and I can't say that I cared much for it. Other than that, the only book that I ever couldn't finish was A Clockwork Orange, which was brilliantly written but completely disgusting. Oh, and Watch Your Mouth by Daniel Handler. I bought in my time of naivete, expecting it to be like A Series of Unfortunate Events, but it wasn't. At all. Once again, very well written, but not for me.
