Princess Academy: My review
Miri has lived all fourteen years of her life in a small mining village on Mount Eskel. Then one day her life changes when the village receives the news that it has been chosen to deliver a bride to the royal prince. But first all the eligible girls must attend an academy 'to prepare the potential you ladies'.
Training and competing at the academy is tough work, but all the girls know an incredible reward is waiting for the girl who does the best. For Miri, she is top of her class and has also become quite popular among the other students. But is Miri really willing to leave her beloved mountain for a foreign land with a prince she hardly knows? This is a great novel by Shannon Hale (author of Goose Girl) for every girl who enjoys a tale involving adventure, romance, and friendship. |

I just read it, it was good for an age range like 9-13 or something.
Well written though..and nice plot. |
