Default Newbie!

Howdy everyone! I'm a homeschooled sixteen year-old, and I'm finishing a historical novel at the moment. I've published some things before, but nothing longer than 5000 words.

I look forward to joining in the discussions here!

Ditto. Whoa, I've never known anyone who was homeschooled, if you don't mind me asking, what is it like? haha sorry for my ignorance.

Cyberschooled? Is that like online lesson plans, and you do them yourself or something? If you're homeschooled how do you take standardized tests and the like...and how do you like make friends? haha sorry, I must so sound sooo ignorant, but I guess I am on this subject at least.

I really enjoyed being homeschooled. I didn't have to start early in the morning, and since homeschoolers aren't required to do the same number of hours as a regular school as long as they learn the same amount, I was able to finish my schoolday as soon as I got my assignments done. I learned the same things that are taught in schools, but I was also able to learn extra stuff that I wanted to learn, because I finished my schoolwork so fast. (Once I was finished with one subject I could go onto the next right away, without waiting for that class to be over.) I'm not graduated yet, but will next year.

It's easy to take the standardized tests, but in most states in the U.S. it isn't even required. I have a lot of friends in the neighborhood and many other places as well. For me, it hasn't been any harder to make friends than if I was in school.

Don't feel bad about asking questions - I like answering them.

I'm homeschooled. I'd be really cool if My mom didn't also homeschool two younger brothers and two younger sisters.
