Writing as a hobby?
Do you write for yourself ( as a hobby) or for publishing purposes?
Have you ever been published? Tell us your experiences! |

Published? School literary magazine, a great acheivement XD. No. I wish, but definately not.
I write as a hobby, because I like it, but the eventual goal of being published is somewhere out there. I just need to do a lot of work first, and have some fun too.

I see
I am published two times already, with the third on the way. I'm working on being published more too, though I definitely write as a hobby as well.

My play was produced. Some odds and ends published. A couple awards/contests won. Writing is a good time.

I write as a hobby with the hopes of being published. My poems and one of my short stories have been published in a paper that a friend of mine started, it's really cool to see my stuff in print and my hopes rise to the future when I maybe being published in world-wide newspapers, and stating my own magizine.

I've only been writing for a couple of years but now it's practically all I do (outside uni that is). I'm trying to get my first book published and I'd really like to make it as a professional writer. Does anyone find it hard to tell people that they write? I told my family and they treat me like it's a bit of a joke. I hate it!

I always loved to write. I used to write many poems for my (now) ex-girlfriend. After that ended, I stopped writing for a while, but now I'm back in the swing of things.
A couple of my poems have already been published for a school poem book. I wrote poems about Christianity and religion, but only because the teacher was big on that, so I did it for the marks. I got a full 10% on my final mark for it, but I just sighed at the fact that it was those works I'd get recognition for. Ahhhh well....
