The Kite Runner (Khaled Hosseini)
A touching and orginal story of a boy and his best friend, The Kite Runner strikes the reader as a refreshingly different yet hauntingly familiar, as a story of loyalty and tradition plays out amongst a backdrop of political turmoil in modern Afghanistan.

Wow that's a basic book review. You load it up with adjectives but never say anything at all. Touching. You should write for the times. Now, if I may add my own meaningless information.
Kite Runner will change you. Take mental note of how you are before this book, because you won't be the same ever again. It's partially true, but the story itself isn't. What happens in Afghanistan is.
It makes you want to get out there and do something.
I could get into the details of the plot if anyone is interested. It's just one of those books I think everyone should read at one point in there life. It's not challenging or even a classic, new story. It's modern and true, it's something that you can be active about and that's what I like best, it plays on your heartstrings.
